Description
Albyns Farmhouse is a 16th to 17th century timber-framed building that was re-fronted in the 18th century and altered in the 20th century. It has an 'L' shaped plan with the main front facing south. The farmhouse is constructed of red brick and is two storeys high, featuring three bays with 20th century windows. The central doorway has an 18th century surround with a moulded architrave, a fanlight, and a pediment supported by shaped console brackets. The west end of the building is weatherboarded, while the wing extending to the north is plastered. Inside, there is extensive exposed timber-framing, and the roof timbers are largely from the 17th century. The roofs are tiled.
