Description

This terrace comprises numbers 28 to 34 King George Street, built in 1828. The buildings are constructed of stock brick with a slate roof and stock brick chimneys. They are two storeys high with a basement, and feature five windows each. The windows are mainly 12-pane sashes set in reveals; however, number 28 has lost its glazing bars. Each building has a round-headed doorcase with a semi-circular fanlight, although the fanlight at number 28 is blocked. Number 32 has a six-panelled door. Numbers 30, 32, and 34 retain spear railings and stone steps with iron handrails. The group value of this terrace lies in its contribution to the architectural character of King George Street.
