Description

This property comprises three buildings at numbers 13, 15, and 15A, South Street, Greenwich. Dating from the late 17th or early 18th century, the buildings have undergone alterations over time. Each is three storeys high, with number 13 featuring three windows and numbers 15 and 15A having two windows each. The buildings are constructed of red brick, with significant rebuilding after wartime damage. Red brick quoins are visible, as is a stuccoed cornice and a brick parapet. Four chimneys, irregularly positioned amongst the buildings, are substantial brick shafts with varied plane arrises and cornices. The windows are sash windows in box frames. Building 15A retains the original gauged brick arches above the windows, while numbers 13, 15 and 15A have modern shop fronts. Numbers 1 and 15A (odd) are designated as a group for their architectural and historic significance.
