Description

No. 2 West Grove is an early 19th century house of three storeys and three windows, built of multicoloured stock brick. The front facade is rendered and features a heavy cornice and parapet which conceals the roof. The left bay is narrower and set back from the main facade. The sash windows have been replaced, but retain glazing bars; those on the ground floor are three-light and are set within flat entablature surrounds. A set of four steps, accompanied by a wrought iron handrail, leads to a prostyle Ionic porch. The porch contains a renewed double door with eight fielded panels. The property was restored following bomb damage. No. 2 has group value with Nos. 6, 7 and 8 West Grove.
