Description

Conduit House, situated at the junction with West Grove, is an early 18th century brick building of modest size. The north end of the building is straight, while the south end is rounded. It is a single-story structure with a brick barrel roof and a semi-domed south end. The building features a brick frieze and cornice. A gauged brick arched recess in the north wall contains a round stone plaque marked "No 2" within a tympanum. A modern plaque on the east wall explains that the building served as a conduit head for the water supply of the Royal Hospital for Seamen at Greenwich, and was constructed around 1710.
