Description
The moat and bridge located to the south of Well Hall Art Gallery date back to the 16th century. The moat has a square plan and features red brick walls that have been extensively repaired, with the lower parts rendered. Aligned with the east arm of the moat is a two-span 16th-century bridge, which is constructed with four-centred stone arches and has later red brick parapets.
