Description
The Garden House and boundary walls at Eltham Hill Girls' School date from the 17th century. The boundary walls are constructed of reddish-brown brick, which has been much repaired and features new coping. Some sections have been reduced to a height of 2 feet, topped with a wooden fence. The remains of a west entrance are marked by two square piers with stepped plinths, although the tops of the piers are missing. At the southwest corner of the wall, there is a small square Garden House with a renewed high-pitched roof. The west wall of the Garden House has a new window, while the north and east walls feature round arched openings made of gauged, bright red brick, complete with impost blocks and keystones. The opening on the north wall supports a cornice band, and the walls also have red brick jambs and quoins.
