Description
The stable buildings located to the south-west of Charlton House date from the 17th century. They consist of two facing ranges, each two storeys high with eight windows, built of narrow brick and featuring a restored tiled roof with a fairly high pitch. The buildings have curved Dutch gable ends with stone copings and finials that have been restored. There is a brick cornice in three planes, a brick band at the first floor, and a restored plinth. The first-floor windows are modern two-light casements set within stone architraves. The ground floor windows have gauged flat brick arches and modern mullioned and transomed casements. There are also modern double and single doors. A modern one-storey shed at the south connects the two ranges.
