Description

The property comprises a pair of early 19th-century houses, numbered 31 and 33, Fairfield Grove. Each house is two storeys high and has two windows. The inner bays are widely spaced and defined by rusticated quoins. The outer bays are very narrow and set back. The roofs are low-pitched and covered with slate. The houses are stuccoed, with a moulded eaves cornice, and some modillions to number 33. There is a cill string on the first floor and a cornice over the ground floor. The reveals of the sash windows are plain; the first-floor windows are mostly renewed. A later French door has been installed on the ground floor of number 31, along with a modern entrance porch on the left return. The windows in the outer bays are narrow and round-arched. Numbers 25 to 39 (the odd numbers) form a group.
