Description
St Mary's Gate to Greenwich Park is an early 19th-century structure located at the south end of King William Walk in Greenwich. The gate features a central wrought iron fence adorned with cresting of leaves and scrolls. On either side, there are pairs of double wrought iron gates that follow a similar design, mounted on square wrought iron piers set diagonally. Beyond these gates, single side gates are attached to diagonal wrought iron half-piers, which are set in tall square stock brick piers topped with a stone cornice and urn finial. To the west, there is another section of fence between half-piers, bounded by a similar brick pier and containing an additional single gate.
