Description
The Bell Inn is a building from the second quarter of the 19th century, designed in a style typical of early railway hotels. It stands three storeys tall and features three windows. The roof is a double span, hipped, and slated, with a fairly low pitch and hipped ends facing the road. The exterior is made of painted brick, accented with a stuccoed cornice and blocking course. The later sash windows have gauged, flat brick arches, with the outer windows being three-light. On the ground floor, there is a projecting loggia supported by Roman Doric columns, which has an altered entablature and extends to the right, where it has been filled in to create an additional room.
