Description

Nos 258 and 260 on Fore Street in Upper Edmonton are a mid-18th century pair of buildings, each featuring three storeys and a basement, with five windows. They are constructed of brown brick, accented with red brick quoins and dressings. The parapets have been renewed, and there are moulded bands at the first and second floor levels. The sash windows, which do not have bars, are topped with gauged brick segmental arches. Access to the front doors involves ten steps, with the doors of No 258 featuring original wrought iron railings. Both buildings have Ionic doorcases adorned with modillion cornices and pediments.
