Description

Westwood Cottage is an early to mid-19th century building of two storeys and an attic, originally with four windows. It has a slated roof with one gabled dormer and is constructed of stock brick, featuring a stone-coped parapet. The sash windows mostly have replacement windows with gauged round brick arches. The front door is a four-panel design, with a radial fanlight set within a panelled surround. The fanlight has a moulded architrave and an open pediment supported by scroll bracketed cornices. The property forms part of a group with numbers 77 to 89 on the east side of Chase Side.
