Description
87, Chase Side is an early 19th-century building of two storeys and six windows. It has a low-pitched hipped roof covered in slate, with a later 19th-century rendered facade featuring incised lines and a parapet. The windows are modern casements. A prostyle porch provides access to a four-panel door. A two-storey, single-window extension was added later to the left side. A bronze plaque on the first floor commemorates that the house was occupied by Charles Lamb from September 1827 to October 1829, and the building is listed for its association with him. Nos. 77 to 89 (odd) form a group.
