Description
This is an early 19th century pair of houses located on Castlebar Road. The houses are two storeys high with a basement, and comprise two bays with a set-back one-bay wing on each side. The exterior is of yellow stock brick, with No. 28 painted. Steps lead to pilastered stucco porticos, which have rosetted friezes. Fanlights are positioned above the doors. A flat bay window is present on the ground floor, with side lights and a margined central window. Shallow segmental arches frame the other windows, which have recessed barred sashes. Round-headed windows with Y-tracery are found on the ground floor of the wings. The roofs are slated and hipped.
