Description

The Entrance Lodge to Davidson Lodge, built around 1852 by S W Dawkes, is a small semi-octagonal structure that is part of the same composition as Davidson Lodge. It is a single-storey building with an attic, constructed of red brick featuring black brick diapering. The lodge has a hipped slate roof with a central red brick chimney. On the north-west elevation, there is a dormer with a Dutch gable. The windows are rectangular with 4-centred headed lights, including a three-light window on the north-west elevation and one-light windows on the other elevations. A porch is located on the north front, and there is a small lean-to addition against the south wall.
