Description

The Coal Taxpost at Hang Grove is a cast iron structure dating from 1861. It has a square shape with chamfered sides and moulded caps, and features a shield from the City's Arms. This taxpost is classified as No 189, type 2d, in the publication "The Coal Duties of the City of London and their Boundary Marks" from 1972.
