Description

Downe Court, located on Cudham Road in Downe, dates from 1690. The building consists of two parallel ranges and stands two storeys high with an attic. It features three windows, one of which is blank. The exterior is constructed of red brick with grey headers and has a tiled roof. Notable architectural details include a moulded eaves cornice, a brick dentil band, and sash windows set in reveals. The ground floor windows are topped with cambered arches. The entrance doorcase is adorned with an architrave and a semi-circular fanlight, and there are six-panelled doors accessed by two steps.
