Description
Petleys is an early 18th century house that was built by the Petley family and later owned by the niece of Josiah Wedgwood. The building consists of two parallel ranges and has two storeys with attics, featuring five windows and two gabled dormers. It has a brick dentil band and a coved wooden eaves cornice, topped with a tiled roof. The façade is faced with knapped flints, accented by red brick window dressings, quoins, and a stringcourse, while the sides are stuccoed. There is a 19th century sundial on the left side and a 19th century gabled porch.
