Description

Walnut Tree Cottage is one of a group of four cottages located at the junction of High Street and Luxted Road in Downe. The cottage was originally timber-framed but was refaced in the 18th century. It is two storeys high, with a ground floor faced in flint and brick quoins, and a first floor weatherboarded. The roof is tiled, incorporating both a moulded eaves cornice and a modillion cornice. The windows are mostly 19th-century casements.
