Description

Bonchester, built in 1898 and designed by architect Ernest Newton, is a two-storey building with attics, shaped in an L configuration. The ground floor is constructed of brick, while the first floor features tile-hanging. It has a tiled roof with one curved gable and a large brick chimneystack. The front elevation includes a tile-hung gable and four casement windows, some of which are mullioned and transomed. The ground floor consists of two bays, one of which has a hood above it. The recessed doorcase is adorned with a curved open pedimented cornice supported by stylized console brackets.
