Description
The Cedars is a house built in 1893 for William Willett by Ernest Newton. It has two storeys and attics, with a ground floor made of brick and a first floor that is tile hung. The roof is hipped and covered with blue tiles, featuring three dormers, one of which has a Venetian window. The house has three mullioned and transomed windows, with the central window forming a bay that extends through both the ground and first floors. On the left side, there is a doorcase with a curved hood supported by Tuscan columns. The tympanum above the doorcase features pargetting of putti and a coat of arms. To the right, there is a two-storey section that is lower in elevation but designed in the same style, consisting of one bay.
