Description
The walls, gate piers, and gates located to the south of the stable block at the former Foots Cray Place date back to the 18th century. These walls enclose the kitchen garden and feature an entrance next to the stables. The site includes fine contemporary wrought-iron gates that are mounted on rusticated brick piers topped with stone caps and balls. There are three additional gateways within these walls. The walls themselves vary in height from 5 to 10 feet and show some deterioration in places. They are constructed of red brick.
