Description
The Parish Church of St Mary, located on Hendon Lane in Finchley, is a building that dates back to the 15th century and has undergone significant restoration in 1872, with further additions made in 1932. Some remnants of a 12th-century church have been preserved. The church features a battlemented west tower and an open timber roof in the nave from the 15th century. There is a 17th-century gallery at the west end and a 13th-century octagonal font made of Purbeck marble, which has two pointed blank panels on each face. The church also contains several brasses and hatchments.
