Description
The tomb of John Haley, who died in 1763, is located in the churchyard of St Mary's Church in Hendon. It is made of Portland stone and features a rectangular chest with inset corners. The chest is topped by a three-stepped base that supports a triangular scrolled baluster with a finial. An armorial relief is present on the west end of the chest. The inscription on the north side indicates that Haley was "late of Mill Hill in this parish and one of the Moneyers of His Majesty's Mint."
