Description
The Manor House, located at 80 East End Road in Finchley, is a fine example of early 18th century architecture. This three-storey, seven-bay house is constructed of brown brick and features a severe and regular design, complemented by stone quoins and coping adorned with four urns. The entrance boasts a flat stone rusticated door surround with a flight of steps leading up to it. There are part submerged cellars that may be remnants of an earlier house. The garden front mirrors the main façade, with steps and an iron balcony at the entrance level.
Inside, the house showcases 17th and 18th century panelling, a staircase with turned balusters, and ceilings in the Adam style and floral style. There are also several notable chimney pieces visible. Additionally, two sides of the Homestead moat are located to the southwest of the property.
