Description
The Walter Field Memorial Drinking Fountain is located approximately one hundred metres north northeast of the junction of Wildwood Road and Hampstead Way in Hampstead Garden Suburb. This drinking fountain is made of stone and has a circular shape. It features a cavetto base that supports a swelling bowl, which is about 130 centimeters in diameter and has sides adorned with projecting scallops. In the center of the shallow bowl, there is a square block that bears a memorial inscription on the southeast face, along with lion's head spouts on the sides. The cap of the fountain is sculpted to match the design of the bowl, and the stone base is set flush with the surrounding turf.
