Description
The Boy and Dolphin Fountain is a drinking fountain located in the Rose Garden of Hyde Park. It was designed by Alexander Munro and completed in 1862. The fountain is made of white marble and Portland stone and features a sculpted boy with a dolphin, standing six feet high on a rock, which is set in a circular basin atop a pedestal. Originally, the fountain was situated in a sunken garden in Hyde Park, Park Lane. It was moved to Broad Walk in Regent's Park in 1962 and returned to Hyde Park in 1994, where it is now positioned in the Rose Garden near the path between Serpentine Road and Rotten Row.
