Description
This mews building, located at 32 and 32A Grosvenor Crescent Mews, dates to around 1860. It is constructed of painted brick and extends over two storeys with four bays. The ground floor features two pairs of tall, double planked timber doors on the right side and a single similar door on the left. The upper storey has square-headed windows with gauged heads and keystones, containing sash windows with vertical glazing bars. A brick band separates the two storeys, and a brick cornice supports a slated roof. The interior comprises open stalls separated by columns, with planked lower areas and vertical metal bars above. The stalls along the back wall are fitted with timber gates. This represents a relatively rare and complete survival of an urban mews in central London.
