Description
The Decimus Burton Screen, also known as Apsley Gate, is a grand entrance screen located in Hyde Park, Westminster. It was designed by Decimus Burton around 1825 and features sculpture work by John Henning Junior, along with contributions from his father and brother. The screen is constructed from Portland stone and includes a colonnade of Greek Ionic pillars that create three entrances. It is flanked by iron railings with stone piers. The central archway is the largest and is adorned with a carved attic frieze.
