Description

Number 14 and its attached railings is a house dating from 1935, designed by G. G. Winbourne as part of the Hampstead Garden Suburb. The house is constructed of brick with painted render, featuring a flat roof and Crittall windows. It is two storeys high, incorporating roof-top structures and a glazed stair tower. The three-window range exemplifies the International Modern style, with a recessed entrance range, balconies to the first floor, and a roof terrace. Curved quadrants project from the side ranges, and the curved sections feature metal strip windows alongside first-floor French doors. The design is similar to numbers 10 and 12 on the opposite side of the road. Numbers 1-13/15 (odd) and 2-18 (even) of Lytton Close together form a significant group of International Modern houses.
