Description
Houses at 115-121 Willifield Way, Barnet, were designed by Barry Parker and Raymond Unwin in 1910 as part of the Hampstead Garden Suburb. The houses were rebuilt after bomb damage, replicating the original design and included on the heritage register due to their contribution to the group value of the remaining Parker and Unwin houses facing Willifield Green. They are constructed of brick in Flemish bond with hipped tile roofs. The buildings are two storeys and arranged on a rectangular plan with a thirteen-window range. The architectural style is Georgian Revival, featuring a central passage positioned on a central line, flanked by entrances housed within Tuscan aedicules. Additional entrances are located at ranges two and twelve, while ranges five and nine have full-height, projecting stair bays. Stacks are situated on the end walls, and party walls extend to the ridge. Dormers within the hipped roof are potentially later additions. The design presents an interesting combination of vernacular revival and classical styles. These houses contribute to the group value alongside Nos. 113-123 Willifield Way.
