No 20 on Wood Street is an early to mid 18th century building constructed of red brick and topped with a tiled roof. It stands two storeys tall with an attic and features six sash windows, each with glazing bars set in cambered heads. The entrance includes a doorcase with a canopy supported by brackets and a six-panel door. There are three flat-topped dormers on the roof. All of these features were restored following severe bomb damage.
