Description

The cattle trough, located at the junction with Hermitage Lane on Platt's Lane, was built in the late 19th century by the Metropolitan Drinking Fountain and Cattle Trough Association. It is made of granite and features a rectangular design with a drinking fountain set in a pediment at one end. Some pipework is now exposed. Additionally, there is a trough for dogs at the base that still survives.
