Description

The convent chapel, built in 1860 by G.E. Street, is located at the rear of Nos. 82 and 83, known as All Saints House. It features a simple Gothic exterior, constructed from stock brick with some vitreous patterning and stone dressing, and has a slate gable end roof. The building includes a weathered plinth, an angled porch, and a close set range of clerestory quatrefoils below the eaves.

Inside, the chapel has a roof supported by scissor braced trusses. At the west end, there is a Gothic timber traceried screen that includes an organ gallery. The cambered clerestory is adorned with stained glass by Clayton and Bell, while frescoes behind the altar were created by J.R. Clayton. The interior also boasts an elaborate tiled dado and an encaustic tiled floor.
