Description
No. 26 Nassau Street is a terrace house built around 1770 to 1780. It is constructed of stock brick and features a slate roof. The building has four storeys and a basement, with a width of three windows. The ground floor is stuccoed up to the first-floor sill band, and the entrance is located to the right. It has a six-panel door with a reeded transom below a fanlight, all set within an architrave surround. A console bracketed cornice extends over an early to mid-19th century display window. The upper floors have recessed sash windows without glazing bars, which are topped by red brick flat gauged arches. The building is finished with a parapet that has coping and includes wrought iron area railings.
