Description
No. 45 Lexington Street is a terrace house dating from the early 18th century, with an early 19th-century stucco facing. The building stands four storeys high, topped with a parapet and coping, and is two windows wide. It features a mid-19th-century shop front with four pilastered bays, which include barleysugar iron columns. The upper floors have revealed sash windows without glazing bars, set beneath flat arches. The interior is very similar to that of No. 43, retaining almost all of its original fittings, including panelling with fielded designs and box cornices on the first floor, diagonally set rear chimney pieces, a closed moulded string, and a slender turned baluster staircase.
