Description

No. 43 Lexington Street is a terrace house dating from the early 18th century, with a Victorian refronting. It is constructed of brown brick and has a slate roof. The building stands four storeys tall and is two windows wide, featuring a mid-19th century shop front with Tuscan pilasters and an entablature. The upper floors are adorned with sash windows that have roll moulded surrounds. The interior is largely intact, showcasing a closed string slender turned baluster staircase, panelling with fielded designs and box cornices on the first floor, and a diagonally set rear fireplace.
