Description
No. 122 Wigmore Street is a terraced town house built around 1780 as part of the Portman Estate development. The building is constructed of stock brick with a stuccoed ground floor and has a concealed slate roof. It stands five storeys tall and is three windows wide. A mid-20th century shop front has been inserted at the ground level. The upper floors feature recessed sash windows set under flat gauged arches, with the first floor showcasing French casements. There is a stucco plat band at the first floor level, and the building is topped with a crowning stucco cornice and blocking course. Delicate cast iron balconettes adorn the first floor windows. This building is included in the register for its group value.
