Description

This is a mid-18th century terrace house, altered in the 19th century and the 20th century. It is constructed of stuccoed brick, with a renewed tiled roof. The house has three storeys and includes a modern dormer. It features three windows. The ground floor has a shop front dating from the 1960s or 1970s. 19th-century sash windows have been added, along with moulded cornices. The windows have a decorative glazing pattern. A moulded main cornice and parapet are also present. Number 20 was the residence of the painter Sir William Beechey between 1787 and 1788.
