Description

Nos 27 and 29 on Brook Street are terraced houses built around 1728 to 1730, although they have been significantly altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The buildings are constructed of dark red brick and feature a slate roof. They rise four storeys, with an attic that includes dormer windows and are four windows wide. The ground floor has later 20th-century shop fronts. Beneath gauged red brick segmental arches, there are revealed 19th-century sash windows, all of which have heavy 19th-century stucco sills and cast iron window guards. The interior includes panelled features.
