Substantial terrace house. C.1740. Facade largely refaced in variegated stock brick with red brick dressings early C20. Four storeys, basement, and slated mansard with dormers. Four windows. Brick plat bands and brick modillion parapet cornice with blocking course. Portland stone Doric portico with recessed bays and round arched doorway. Portland stone balustered balconettes to first floor. Revealed sash windows with segmental gauged arches, shaped brick aprons to sills. Cast iron area railings with tasselled spear heads returned up steps. Although the interior was refurbished contemporary with the facade much of the detail is original. Large front compartment staircase hall up to piano nobile, open string stairs with carved bracket tread ends, corkscrew balusters, handrail ramped to Corinthian column newels, dado on wall corresponding, balusters returned to gallery-landing, fielded panelling to walls. Plasterwork ceiling with Rococo details. Pedimented doorcases, etc.
