TQ 2980 NE CITY OF WESTMINSTER GERRARD STREET, W1 71/57 14.1.70 No. 31 G.V. II Terrace house. c.1683 with early C.19 alteration. Stucco faced, concealed roof. 4 storeys. 3 windows wide. Square headed doorway to right with panelled door and fanlight. Ground floor windows altered. Upper floors have square headed windows with recessed sashes on casements. Plat bands at floor levels and parapet with coping. Interior retains a number of fine original features including dog leg closed and moulded string staircase with turned balusters and column newels, panelling virtually complete with box cornices to main rooms, pilastered archway from passage hall to stairwell, etc. Survey of London; Vol. XXXIV.
