Description
This building is a terrace located at 116-130 Fifth Avenue, built around 1880 by architects Austin and Roland Plumbe for the Queen's Park Estate of the Artisans, Labourers and General Dwellings Company. The terrace is constructed of yellow brick with red brick dressings and features a Welsh slate roof. It consists of two storeys, with each house having two bays, designed in a Free Gothic style.
The porches are corbelled and have tiled roofs, containing paired entrances with Tudor-arched doorways and half-glazed doors. The end houses have entrances to the returns and tripartite windows on each floor. The windows are paired sashes with dividing colonettes and moulded lintels, while above, there are mainly sashes with margin lights. A moulded eaves cornice runs along the top. Notably, the second house from each end features a three-storey tower with a pyramidal roof, a round-headed entrance with recessed doors, and moulded eaves. This terrace is an integral part of the main street of the estate.
