Description
No. 15 Mansfield Street is a corner terraced town house that has been rebuilt as offices. This 1960 facsimile rebuild replicates the design of Robert and James Adam, serving as a first-rate speculative house that completes the uniform row of Nos. 5 to 13 (odd). The building is constructed of stock brick with a stucco ground floor and has a concealed slate roof. It stands four storeys tall with a basement and features a three-window-wide Venetian composition doorway, which includes Ionic columned side lights and a double inscribed fanlight. The glazing bar sashes are recessed, and the bands and cornices are carried over from the adjacent Nos. 5 to 13 (odd) and return to New Cavendish Street. The area railings are topped with urn finials.
