Description
76A New Cavendish Street is a terraced house built in 1910, likely designed by Boehmer and Gibbs. The building features red brick with Portland stone dressings and has a slate hipped roof with a parapet. It is situated on a corner site and stands four storeys tall, plus dormers. The facade facing Harley Street consists of six bays, arranged to resemble an almost symmetrical pair of houses. The design includes alternating brick and stone quoins and channelled stone at the ground floor. There is a square-headed, segmental hooded architraved entrance located in the third bay from the right. The windows are square-headed, flush framed sashes with glazing bars, and the outer pairs of bays each have semicircular bay windows that extend from the ground to the second floor, featuring triplet windows on each floor. Above the second floor, there is a stone band and an enriched modillion cornice above the third floor. Each side has a pair of triplet dormer windows with a central pediment. The building also has slab chimneys and wrought iron area railings.
