Description

This is a row of houses located on Gloucester Terrace in Westminster, dating to around 1840. The buildings are constructed of stucco with slate mansard roofs. Numbers 111 to 123, and numbers 105 to 109 are listed. Number 119 has been heightened.

The houses are three storeys high with a basement, and each is two windows wide. The left side of each house features a full-height segmental bow with tripartite sash windows on each floor. To the right is a slightly projecting, fluted Doric porch with semi-circular, architraved windows above. Rusticated quoins are visible, and the ground floor is channelled. The windows are largely sashes, with some casements and plate glass. A continuous, bombé balcony runs along the first floor. The building has a dentil cornice and balustraded parapets; much of the area balustrade has been removed. The row is part of a series of similar buildings lining Gloucester Terrace.
