Description

The Devonshire Club comprises part of an early to mid-18th century terrace house, altered in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of yellow stock brick with a slate roof, and extends to four storeys with a basement and dormered mansard. It is four windows wide. The ground floor is rendered with rusticated stucco and features a square-headed entrance with a fanlight on the left side. The upper floors contain revealed sash and casement windows without glazing bars, set beneath flat, gauged arches. Plat bands delineate the second and third floors, and a cornice and blocking course sit at the top. Bowed wrought iron balconettes are present on the first floor. The property is fronted by cast iron area railings.
