Description

No. 89 Jermyn Street is a terrace house dating from around 1675, which was rebuilt in the early 19th century. The building is faced with stucco and has a slate roof. It stands four storeys high and is three windows wide. The ground floor features an early 19th-century shop front with an eight-pane thick glazing bar window. To the right, there is a recessed, panelled, and glazed door, situated under a fascia with a bracketed cornice that is topped with a coat of arms.

The upper floors have revealed sash windows without glazing bars, set in flat architrave surrounds. The first-floor windows are adorned with cornices on consoles, while the second-floor windows feature triple keystones. The shop has interior fittings and shelving that were reset from the 1851 Great Exhibition. At the rear, there is a large timber-framed closet wing. Inside, the upper floors retain a dog leg, closed string staircase with turned balusters.
