Description

TQ 2980 SW CITY OF WESTMINSTER JERMYN STREET, SW1 81/40 No 95 GV II Terrace house. c. 1675, altered early to mid C19. Stucco faced, slate roof. 4 storeys with 3rd floor moulded string course and crowning stone cornice and blocking course. 3 windows wide. Ground floor has square headed house doorway to right with patterned fanlight and 6 panel door, and mid C19 pilastered shop front with fascia. Upper floors have flat arched architraved sash windows, no glazing bars, those on 1st floor with consoled entablatures. Interior retains closed string turned baluster staircase and substantial elements of original panelling, box cornices, panelled passage etc. Survey of London; vol XXIX
